Are you ready for the storm? Sei is launching its first incentivized testnet for validators and participants. We’re calling it Operation: Seinami.

Before we launch our mainnet, we want to ensure that Sei is up to scratch, so we want YOU to help us stress-test the network.

The aim of Operation: Seinami is to identify any bugs or flaws with our protocol prior to mainnet launch. We’ll be issuing token rewards to all participants who complete tasks and bug bounties.

Operation: Seinami will have 4 unique acts, each with its own focus and goals. Broadly, the acts are designed to test Sei’s validator setup, usability, security, and governance.

Each act will be comprised of clearly defined missions for Seinami Testnet validators and participants. The full list of missions across all acts is available here. All active missions will also be listed on the top left of the Seinami Testnet landing page.

To ensure we assemble a diverse and representative set of participants, the program is focused across several themes:

The Seinami Testnet is scheduled to launch in July 2022 and the program will run for a duration of approximately 9 weeks.

All testnet missions are worth a set amount of “points” which directly correspond to your $SEI token rewards. Once the testnet period is over, we will tally the scores of all validators and participants and distribute token rewards.

No closed betas. No whitelist. Joining the Seinami Testnet is the only and best way to familiarize yourself with Sei prior to launch. We want to allow validators, developers, and participants to interface with Sei by setting up nodes, wallets, completing transactions, and voting on governance proposals.

The Seinami Testnet is open to all members of the community to participate, however not all participants are eligible for rewards.

We welcome validators, developers, and community members of all stripes to get involved, however, the following groups will not be eligible to receive rewards:

Additionally, while it is indeed a competition, everyone must play nice and be decent to one another. Those who violate the Rules of Engagement or Code of Conduct, exploit software vulnerabilities, use social engineering attacks to exploit competitors or use malware to attack other participants is grounds for disqualification. Be cool, folks!
